Day 1 DFI Course
Well, today was my first DFI course day. Many of the teachers at school have completed this course and I have been seeing the benefits starting to be integrated in our studio. I was feeling apprehensive at first but as the day progressed I found that I was not as 'special needs' as I thought. Time will tell though 😀
Reflection of Day 1
What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy?
That this has been around since 2006 and it came from a need and desire from whanau to have the same expectations for their children as others.
What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional?
What did I learn that could be used with my learners?
What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow in my personal life?

Kia ora Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got some new learning for the day. On an iPad the keyboard should have a microphone which students can use to dictate. We should have a wee trial and see if we can use it with Explain Everything.

Mark
Thanks Mark,
DeleteI have just found your comments now- rookie mistake!
Yes let's have a wee play on the iPad to see if we can use it to dictate. It would be cool if they could use it for their ideas and writing.
